There are several lens options available with materials and coatings that can increase the quality of eyeglass lenses and help patients see the world clearer. Below are a few popular options to consider:
Progressive lenses allow wearers to see across all distances with the same pair of lenses. It is important for potential presbyopic individuals to start wearing progressive lenses early for easier adaptation.
Progressive Lenses also referred to as “no-line lenses” have a gradual curvature across the lens surface and provide not only clearer vision at near and far distances, but also smooth, comfortable progression in between. They allow for continuous vision at near, middle, and distant focal ranges, with no lines or image jumps.
Bifocal lenses have two viewing areas divided by a visible line. The larger viewing area is for distance and smaller for reading.
Built on Hoya’s patented Integrated Dual Side Optics platform. Integrated Dual Side Optics is the first and only method that truly separates the vertical and horizontal components of the prescription to provide patients with maximum comfort, customization and widest field of vision in all viewing zones.
Transition lenses are glasses lenses that react to different levels of UV light and adjust their tint accordingly. Transition lenses only change their tint when exposed directly to UV light, meaning that they will remain clear when indoors. Transition™ has created several options over the years, but the four best known are Signature GEN 8, XTRActive, Vantage, and DriveWear.
Maximum protection against scratches
Water and dirt repellence making it easy to clean
Resistance to fingerprints and smudges
Prevention of crazing, peeling, crack and chipping
Glare-Free lenses that reduce eye fatigue
Polarized lenses are sunglass lenses with a special filter that blocks horizontal glare.
Glare is intensely bright light that interferes with vision. Glare occurs when light waves are reflected off flat, shiny surfaces. Once reflected, the light waves become polarized and vibrate in a horizontal direction.

Nowadays, you have some really amazing options for lenses that can make you see better. Whether for indoors, outdoors, or changing light conditions, high definition digital lenses provide the best visual acuity possible.
Eye exams typically last around 30-45 minutes. However, it’s important to note that time will vary depending on the types of tests needed. For example, if you’re interested in contact lenses your eye doctor will need to conduct a contact lens fitting to ensure you get the correct prescription for your eyes.
Each patient's unique symptoms, along with our professional judgment, will determine what tests you receive during your visit. A comprehensive adult eye and vision examination may include a number of tests.schedule your eye exam
