Selecting the Right Lenses

There are several lens options available with materials and coatings that can increase the quality of eyeglass lenses and help patients see the world clearer. Below are a few popular options to consider:

Progressive Lens Options

Progressive lenses allow wearers to see across all distances with the same pair of lenses. It is important for potential presbyopic individuals to start wearing progressive lenses early for easier adaptation.

Hoya ID3 – sharp vision at any distance!

Built on Hoya’s patented Integrated Dual Side Optics platform. Integrated Dual Side Optics is the first and only method that truly separates the vertical and horizontal components of the prescription to provide patients with maximum comfort, customization and widest field of vision in all viewing zones.

Transition Premium Lenses

Transition lenses are glasses lenses that react to different levels of UV light and adjust their tint accordingly. Transition lenses only change their tint when exposed directly to UV light, meaning that they will remain clear when indoors. Transition™ has created several options over the years, but the four best known are Signature GEN 8, XTRActive, Vantage, and DriveWear.

Super HiVision Ex3

EX3® offers:

Coppertone – the best under the sun

Polarized lenses are sunglass lenses with a special filter that blocks horizontal glare.

Glare is intensely bright light that interferes with vision. Glare occurs when light waves are reflected off flat, shiny surfaces. Once reflected, the light waves become polarized and vibrate in a horizontal direction.

ReCharge- bluelight protection

Have you heard of Computer Vision Syndrome or Digital Eye Strain (DES)? How we consume media has changed drastically in the last 5 years, most of our world in now at arms length!

Do you experience fluctuations in your vision? Too much screen time can cause dry eyes, decreased concentration and poorer night vision.

With ReCharge on your eyeglass lenses, you can fend off the fatigue, headaches and blurred vision associated with computer vision syndrome and help with dry eye syndrome.

TACT – The computer lens

TACT lenses maximize your visual range and focus at arm's length distances, providing a clearer viewing zone up to 5 times larger than conventional eyeglass lenses. And they are available with the labs' choice of lens treatment to eliminate glare and reflections from office lights and computer screens.

Common Questions

What if I don’t like wearing glasses?

If you prefer to wear contacts, we can evaluate and fit you for conventional or custom lenses. We are experts in single-use soft contact lenses, so let us help select the right one for you that meets your needs and your budget.

Our doctors fit custom contact lenses for visual needs like astigmatism, presbyopia, or eye disorders like keratoconus.

What are the best lenses for my lifestyle?

Nowadays, you have some really amazing options for lenses that can make you see better. Whether for indoors, outdoors, or changing light conditions, high definition digital lenses provide the best visual acuity possible.

How Long Does an Eye Exam Take?

Eye exams typically last around 30-45 minutes. However, it’s important to note that time will vary depending on the types of tests needed. For example, if you’re interested in contact lenses your eye doctor will need to conduct a contact lens fitting to ensure you get the correct prescription for your eyes.

What Types of Eye Exams Are Offered?

Each patient's unique symptoms, along with our professional judgment, will determine what tests you receive during your visit. A comprehensive adult eye and vision examination may include a number of tests.
